There is a beautiful "love story" beside West Lake in HangZhou

It is said that there was a beautiful and kind White Snake who became an adult named Bainiangzi through cultivation. She married the young Xu Xian and lived a very sweet life.

         Upon learning of this, Monk Fahai of Jinshan Temple persuaded Xu Xian to become a monk and secretly hid him in the temple.

       Bainiangzi came to find her husband and started fighting with Fahai. Bainiangzi cast a spell, and in an instant, the water surged, and shrimp, soldiers, and crabs swarmed up the golden mountain in groups. Fahai hurriedly turned his robe into a long embankment to block the water, and the embankment also grew longer when the water rose.

       Bai Niangzi couldn't win, so she had to retreat with her maid Qing She to cultivate and wait for an opportunity for revenge. Later, Xu Xian escaped from the temple, and Fahai used magic to place Bai Niangzi under the Leifeng Pagoda in West Lake.
